Ecology on all the line by the Continental Paper: from the production processes to the finished product, they have started a kind of run-up to the continuous improvement of enterprise-environment relationship. Continental Paper have been the first paper mill in Italy being capable to make poisoning inks come out of the tons. of paper they daily pick up, and then use this only raw material in producing the recycled paper: this soresulted in a 100% fully ecological paper. Also waters necessary in the production, once purified are used again, notably reducing the water collecting and avoiding any type of unloading. This shrewdness allows the company to dramatically low the impact on the enviroment. Finally, the biogas produced from the the waters purification plants come recovered and been burnt by the natural gas co-generation plant that from the 1997 has made Continental Paper independent in producing electric power.

They are more than 9,900 people being co-ordinated by their Germany based headquarters to manage the composite business areas the Vaillant Hepworth Group are competiting in: their core competences are basically focused on home and industrial heating systems (under the Vaillant trademark), but also automotive and building industries (Hepworth Building Products/HBP) can not be taken out of the list.
As for their main home heating business, in Europe the Group can sell more than 1,2 million wall-heaters a year: here, their 26% share in the european wall-heaters market put the Group ahead of all their local and out of Europe competitors. In such a contest, Vaillant product range can not miss new energy saving and environment friendly products to be taken into account.
New wall-heater EcoBloc line and Vaillant thermo-solar systems are in fact the logical output of an on-going and creative leap in product and process innovation which steadily rely upon a strong 300 people R&D Department.
On these basis, the Group sales rose up to1,75 billion euro in 2002 and were achieved troughtout manufacturing operations (14), research centers (7) and a global network of more than 7100 partners.
